LA Beer Festival this weekend

Is this a new event? Has anyone been before? Is it for real or is it "lite"?

I thought it was a lot of fun. Sony is a beautiful lot to have a fest at and while there was some craptastic beers there, there were also some champs. I had some Bittersweet Lenny's and Blockhead from Schmaltz, some Big Eye and Tongue Buckler from Ballast Point, some Left Coast Hop Juice and the great Deans Brothers and Bootlegger beers. Also, gotta love Anchor's Bock. That's what a true bock tastes like. Fun was had. I even met two women who look suspiciously like the chicks in the banner above. They were named Christina and Hallie. Probably a total coincidence.
